About me...
Heather Bagshaw
A little about me and my professional background.

My first career was in the banking industry (HSBC) where I worked for 20 years in a range of management roles in Leicester, Southend, London and Sheffield.

In 1998 I started to take a deeper interest in the difficulties that people sometimes experienced in life and relationships. In response to this developing interest I started training at Sherwood Psychotherapy and Training Institute. I began with a Diploma in Person Centred Counselling and 5 years later graduated with a Masters Degree in Humanistic Psychotherapy. During this time I made the transition from working for HSBC to working full time as a counsellor and psychotherapist.

My interest and studies have continued. In 2009, I completed my Supervision Diploma and more recently I've undertaken formal Couples Counselling training.

Other training I've undertaken: Working with Traumatic Nightmares - Honour-Based Violence - Online Working - Trauma, Dissociation & Recovery.

I moved from Sheffield to the tranquility of Belchamp Otten on the Suffolk-Essex border in 2014 and have developed a vibrant private practice seeing clients and supervisees (in training and peer professionals), here in my dedicated therapy rooms and online via Skype.
